Official Rules for the 2021 Wētā Workshop '12 Days of Quizmas' Contest

These are the rules for participation in Weta Workshop’s “12 Days of Quizmas” contest (referred to below as the “Contest”).  These Rules make a contract between you (the person signing up for the Contest), and us (Wētā Workshop Limited, incorporated in New Zealand, the promoter of the Contest).

When you sign up for the Contest, you promise us that all information you provide is complete and accurate.

If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must provide their consent, and must agree to these Rules and ensure you follow them. Otherwise we may disqualify you from the Contest and/or collecting any prizes.

The prizes are as follows:

12 prizes total. One for each day of the promotion.

Each days prize will be revealed at 12:00pm PST, with a link to the daily quiz challenge. Be sure to check in everyday to answer the quiz and enter the prize draw.

Hint: The questions for each quiz will be associated with the corresponding prize of the day.

Each day, we will list a new quiz - with 5 tricksy questions about The Fellowship of The Ring.

To enter the prize draw of the day, simply complete the quiz by answering all 5 questions. Entries close at 12:00pm Saturday 18 Dec (PST).

Completing the quiz counts as one entry into the prize draw. Completing the quiz AND scoring 100% correct answers counts as two entries into the prize draw. Entrants may enter to win as many of the 12 collectibles as they wish, but may only enter once per quiz. Any subsequent entries by the same person will be removed.

To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:

Winners aged under 18 years must have consent from a parent or guardian.

Employees and contractors of Weta Workshop and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.

The prize winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries on Wednesday 22 Dec (PST).

We will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners by email before Wednesday 22 Dec (PST).

Email address is collected with the sole purpose of contacting winners.

No correspondence will be entered into and Weta’s decision is final.

If by 10 January 2022 (PST), a winner has not claimed their prize, the prize will be forfeited and we may conduct a re-draw to award the prize to another eligible entrant. Prizes will be shipped as soon as possible. Please note, some prizes may not be in stock - these will be shipped as soon as they are available.

The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. We may substitute any of the prizes for alternative items of greater or equal value.

Except as specified in these Rules, each winner is responsible for all costs that he or she might need to incur in order to accept or use any prize, or as a result of accepting or using any prize (including, for example, taxes, insurance, travel, accommodation, and/or other incidental expenses).

We will not be required to replace or repair a prize that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit after it has been dispatched to the delivery address provided by the winner.

We may disqualify you from participating in the Contest and/or collecting any prize if there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have violated any of these Rules or acted in a fraudulent or deceptive manner.

As far as allowed by law, Weta Workshop will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any kind as a result of or in connection with the prize draw, the prizes or these terms, and in particular, any loss, damage or injury that the winner (or his or her guest, if applicable) might suffer in receiving or using any prize.

You acknowledge that the Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and that Facebook does not have any liability to you in relation to the Contest.  You agree to fully release Facebook from any and all liability in relation to your participation in the Contest and use of any app or website through which you participate in the Contest.
