These are the rules for participation in Wētā Workshop’s Hobbit Week Giveaway contest (referred to below as the “Contest”). These Rules make a contract between you (the person signing up for the Contest), and us (Wētā Workshop Limited, incorporated in New Zealand, the promoter of the Contest).
When you sign up for the Contest, you must use your real name. You promise us that all information you provide when you sign up is complete and accurate.
If you are under 18 your parent or legal guardian must provide their consent, and must agree to these Rules and ensure you follow them. Otherwise we may disqualify you from the Contest and/or collecting any prizes.
Prizes
The prize is a Hobbit Hole Bundle as follows:
• Hobbit Hole #1 Hill Lane valued at approximately $99.99 USD
• Hobbit Hole #25 Gandalf’s Cutting $129.99 USD

Entries open at midnight at the start of 16 September NZT and close at midnight at the end of 19 September NZT
Eligibility
Employees and contractors of Wētā Workshop, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
Prize draw
The prize winners will be randomly drawn on September 20 NZT from all eligible entries.
We will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners by phone and email. If by September 27 NZT a winner has not claimed their prize, the prize will be forfeited and we may conduct a re-draw to award the prize to another eligible entrant.
Prize rules
The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. We may substitute any of the prizes for alternative items of greater or equal value.
Except as specified in these Rules, each winner is responsible for all costs that he or she might need to incur in order to accept or use any prize, or as a result of accepting or using any prize (including, for example, taxes, insurance, travel, accommodation, and/or other incidental expenses).
We will not be required to replace or repair a prize that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit after it has been dispatched to the delivery address provided by the winner.
Disqualification
We may disqualify you from participating in the Contest and/or collecting any prize if there are reasonable grounds to believe that you have violated any of these Rules or acted in a fraudulent or deceptive manner.
Publicity
By accepting the prize, each winner agrees that we may use his / her name and photo for publicity, promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to them.
Privacy
We will collect and use the information that you provide us when you sign up for the Contest, for the purposes of operating the Contest, and managing our relationship with you in connection with the Contest. We may also use this information for internal market research, and providing you with information about our products and services, although you can opt-out of receiving marketing messages at any time. We may also provide your information to our service providers for these purposes. If you do not provide us with the information required by the Contest you may not be able to participate in the Contest.
We may also use web analytics tools (including ‘cookies’) to track your usage of any apps or websites through which you participate in the Contest (including your mouse click activity and your IP address).
You have a right to request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
Exclusion of liability
As far as allowed by law, Wētā Workshop will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any kind as a result of or in connection with the prize draw, the prizes or these terms, and in particular, any loss, damage or injury that the winner (or his or her guest, if applicable) might suffer in receiving or using any prize.
Other terms
These terms will be governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute relating to the Contest, any prize or these terms will be a matter for the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
